Urea

Since its establishment CASALE PROJECT a.s. has been successfully designing and commissioning urea plants. As early as 1970 there were signed two first contracts with VEB Stickstoffwerk Piesteritz in Germany. In the early 1970s and 1980s, three plants were designed and put into operation each with a capacity of 1050 MTPD. Several other plants then followed. Six plants were designed to produce urea with low biuret content by the crystallization and urea melt prilling.

Other plants using standard process based on evaporation produce either prilled or granular urea with standard biuret content. Until now CASALE PROJECT a.s. has installed 18 new urea plants, 4 units for granulation of urea, and has revamped 4 existing plants. The capacity of the new plants ranges from 1000 to 2000 MTPD.
